We have just returned from a mid-week stay at the Hotel Du Cadran in Paris.

This hotel was absolutely fantastic. There was nothing particularly fancy about it, however the location was ABSOLUTELY SUPERB, the room was fantastically clean, the staff were so very helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

The room was of a relatively small size, but then they generally are in Paris. The mini-bar was also very reasonably priced.

All of the major sights were within easy reach, the Eiffel Tower only a 7-8 minute walk from the hotel. Everywhere else is also within reasonable walking distance; however the Metro system is invaluable in getting around the city easily and cheaply. A ticket costs about 1Euro 80 and is valid on any line for 2 hours after purchase.

I would strongly recommend the Lonely Planet guide to Paris as this has very easy to decipher Metro maps as well as excellent general info on the city.

We had an absolutely fabulous time in Paris and it is a trip that I will remember fondly.
Liked: Cleanliness, attitude of staff, location
